Shining  Stars Show Support of Chicago Sports Teams

“IceTalent Inc was pleased to have such an adorable up and coming team at Wrigley Field to help with opening day. There was quite a bit of snow and it took alot of muscle to push through it all.”

The Shining Stars Synchronized Skating Team was honored to be part of the celebration opening the ice arena at Wrigley Field on Saturday, December 4, 2010. They showed their support for Mr. Tom Ricketts, Chicago Cubs owner and performed their routine for this year’s competitive season. Their musical selection includes ice, ice hockey, the  Blackhawks  theme song and “ Sweet Home Chicago”.

Synchronized skating is a group of 8-24 skaters performing a choreographed routine to music while showcasing footwork, formations, intersections and skating skills. They compete against local teams in the area while learning discipline, dedication, and what it takes to be a part of a team and to develop lifelong friendships.

The Shining Stars are from Buffalo Grove, IL. They range in ages from 5- 11 years old.  They are coached by Beth Krejnik, Bethany Kosman and Alexis Kaplan. This season they will have 5 competitions and 2 ice shows to perform in.

Pictured with the Shining Stars are Osadolo Irowa, Taylor Kulpa, and Paul Wood.

The Ice Rink at Wrigley Field will be open through February 28, 2011. Mon-Thurs 2pm-9pm, Fri 2pm-11pm, Sat 10am- 11pm, Sun 10am-8pm  Adults $10 Skate Rental available.
